Assessment Criteria

Shortlisting of online applications to select county finalists

All online applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

• Promoter/s: 25 Marks
• Market Opportunity: 25 Marks
• Ability to deliver key commercial milestones: 20 Marks
• Innovation: 10 Marks
• Potential to deliver economic impacts: 10 Marks
• Quality of Application: 10 Marks
• Total Marks: 100

County Competition

The IBYE competition finalists will be assessed by a County Assessment Panel comprising a minimum of three judges selected by the Local Enterprise Office. The County Assessment Panel will evaluate each application and will score the application out of a maximum of 140 marks based on the following assessment criteria:

• Promoter/s: 25 Marks
• Market Opportunity: 25 Marks
• Ability to deliver key commercial milestones: 20 Marks
• Innovation: 10 Marks
• Potential to deliver economic impacts: 10 Marks
• Quality of Application & Business Plan: 10 Marks
• Pitch & Interview: 40 Marks
• Total Marks: 140
